Most people don’t know Fancy Vivid Gray diamonds exist, yet they are one of the most sought after diamonds by collectors. They are not the same as “salt and pepper” diamonds and in a league that is entirely their own.
An increasing amount of hydrogen and boron give the diamond a stunningly beautiful hue of gray. The deep metallic gray shade found in Hartley Vandâr’s diamond is the most sought after shade of gray, and the rarest. This particular diamond is the largest of its kind, weighing over 4 carats, and has a VVS1 clarity grade. The diamond is just shy of flawless, a first of its kind in the lab grown space. Its naturally grown counterpart would receive bids in excess of $500,000 to $1 million USD by collectors.
